Key Responsibilities
- Support the program lead with calm, non-punitive responses within trained boundaries.
- Help volunteers recognize early signs of distress and request assistance.
- Escalate urgent concerns to the qualified safety or wellness lead.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience guiding young people or coordinating youth programs, with inclusive communication.
- Willingness to follow approved supervision, privacy, and incident procedures.
Volunteer Requirements
- Complete the volunteer application and any requested follow-up conversation.
- Follow Cougs 4 Kids privacy, safety, inclusion, and youth-protection expectations.
- Complete the volunteer enrollment form, consented background screening, orientation, and assigned role training before placement. Youth contact and system access require documented clearance and authorization.
- Communicate availability, questions, and concerns early.
