Key Responsibilities
- Write and edit clear stories, materials, and volunteer messages for approved channels.
- Use accessible language and verify facts with the program lead.
- Use youth stories and images only with approved permissions.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience creating accessible communications or media for the assigned channel.
- Ability to verify facts and media permissions before sharing a young person’s story.
Volunteer Requirements
- Complete the volunteer application and any requested follow-up conversation.
- Follow Cougs 4 Kids privacy, safety, inclusion, and youth-protection expectations.
- Complete the volunteer enrollment form, consented background screening, orientation, and assigned role training before placement. Youth contact and system access require documented clearance and authorization.
- Communicate availability, questions, and concerns early.
