Key Responsibilities

• Review the approved incident plan and escalation contacts before each activity.
• Assist the designated lead with communication and logistics during an incident.
• Keep incident details confidential and take part in the after-action review.

Skills & Qualifications

• Relevant safety or wellness experience; qualifications verified before specialized tasks.
• Calm judgment, confidentiality, and use of the approved incident escalation route.

Volunteer Requirements

• Complete the volunteer application and any requested follow-up conversation.
• Follow Cougs 4 Kids privacy, safety, inclusion, and youth-protection expectations.
• Complete the volunteer enrollment form, consented background screening, orientation, and assigned role training before placement. Youth contact and system access require documented clearance and authorization.
• Communicate availability, questions, and concerns early.
