Cougs 4 Kids connects Washington State University alumni, students, families, and community supporters with practical ways to encourage and equip young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide assigned youth groups through check-in, activities, transitions, and handoff.
- Listen and encourage participation while following approved boundaries and supervision rules.
- Report a safety, behavior, or access concern promptly to the designated program lead.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience guiding young people or coordinating youth programs, with inclusive communication.
- Willingness to follow approved supervision, privacy, and incident procedures.
Volunteer Requirements
- Complete the volunteer application and any requested follow-up conversation.
- Follow Cougs 4 Kids privacy, safety, inclusion, and youth-protection expectations.
- Complete the volunteer enrollment form, consented background screening, orientation, and assigned role training before placement. Youth contact and system access require documented clearance and authorization.
- Communicate availability, questions, and concerns early.
